Family Kitchen 

The goal of this renovation was to makeover the first-floor kitchen space of Marjorie and Bill Collins’ 1920’s bungalow.  The Collins are both retired baby boomers, who are active in their communities and often entertain with their friends and children. Due to their mature age, the Collins would like to make sure their kitchen will continue to work for them as they grow older and so we designed the space with the mindset that they will “age in place”.  

 

The kitchen's footprint is fairly small, so the goal was to use high-end finishes in the most impactful areas and know that the small kitchen's price per square foot would keep the costs at a manageable level. We also made selections that were light & bright to provide the airiness they were after.
